Asia-Pacific Enterprise Reporter Reuters is seeking a tenacious and ambitious early career Enterprise reporter to cover the geopolitical, economic, and social challenges of the Asia-Pacific region. The successful candidate will be able to produce a mixture of revealing insights and deep-dive investigations into the battle between the United States and China for dominance in the region; how this is playing out on the ground; the ramifications this superpower showdown is having for Asian nations; and the impact it is having on the lives of ordinary people. We need a reporter who is creative, collegial, and collaborative; someone who is equally at home reporting from a remote island in the Pacific as they are digging up and trawling through documents. The successful candidate will be able to operate in a team involving other reporters, freelancers with varied levels of experience, and in remote locations; be able to deliver crisp and clear copy; and embrace and demonstrate Reuters commitment to fairness and accuracy through rigorous bullet-proofing of stories. Our Asia-Pacific Enterprise reporter will have to be able to work hand-in-hand with photographers, videographers, graphics journalists and story designers as partners in the conceptualization, reporting and presentation of our work.
