Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Manages employees responsible for the management of product movement, including delivering the right product to the right place at the right time for the right price.
  • Key activities managed include: physical distribution, which includes the movement and storage of finished goods, supplies and parts from manufacturing plants to warehouses to customers (typically includes warehousing, shipping, receiving, inventory management, and localization); logistics network development/ optimization which includes network design, reverse logistics, modeling, duty elimination/ reduction, order fulfilment cycle time management, cost analysis, system design; logistic services procurement, which includes contract management; supply chain management, postponement procurement, and order management.
  • Responsible for meeting cost, order fulfilments and customer requirement/ satisfaction objectives for a product line, an entity, a region or a group/.
  • Develops all logistics processes and strategies (trade compliance, transportation, physical distribution, logistics services procurement, and/ or logistics network development/ optimization) for Agilent products, supplies and/ or parts from manufacturing entities/ partners to customers.
  • May direct outsourced operations such as warehousing and distribution, including negotiating service level agreements to ensure fulfilments of cost objectives, specified deliverables, and performance and/or business objectives.
  • May manage global trade including overseeing import/export control and administration within government rules and regulations, assurance of legal compliance and appropriate licensing for shipments, and working with government organizations for negotiations, rules interpretations, product certifications and audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree or equivalent plus directly relevant experience.
  • Typically, a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience formally or informally leading people, projects and/or programs for entry to this level.
  • Knowledge and experience of Trade Compliance rules applicable to a US headquartered Multinational Corporation.
  • Track record of managing Logistics Service Providers and driving improvements and efficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with overseas/international colleagues and business partners
  • Qualification/Certification and experience in Continuous Improvement Methodology (e.g. LEAN or Six Sigma).
  • Analytical mindset
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Excellent inter personal and communication skills
