What you will be doing As an ASIC Design student you will be part of the SoC Silicon team developing Sony’s next-generation IoT chips. You will contribute directly to the creation of advanced digital systems used in real-world products. This position offers hands-on exposure to complex semiconductor projects in a highly collaborative engineering environment. On a typical day On a typical day, you may translate specifications into RTL, run simulations to validate your design, write scripts to automate workflows, and debug integration issues with cross-functional teams. You will also participate in design reviews, track project progress, and get guidance from senior engineers as you learn practical SoC development skills. Responsibilities Participate in the full SoC development flow, from architecture definition and specification through RTL design and verification Design, integrate, and debug complex digital blocks and sub-systems Collaborate with Physical Design, Software, and Production teams for smooth system integration Assist in hardware-software co-design and integration for IoT applications Run simulations and verify SoC components to ensure correct functionality Develop automation tools and scripts to improve design and verification flows Document design processes, test results, and project progress Requirements Fourth-year student in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from a recognized university. Knowledge of Verilog / SystemVerilog Understanding of digital design and RTL development Familiarity with embedded systems or microcontroller architectures — advantage Experience with scripting languages such as Python — advantage Basic understanding of analog and digital circuit principles — advantage Working Style Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams Curiosity and motivation to learn new technologies
