Job Description ASIC SSD Architect We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ASIC SSD Architect to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will define and architect next‑generation SSD controller ASICs, focusing on high‑performance, low‑power, and scalable storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in ASIC architecture for complex SoCs, strong system understanding, and experience working across HW/FW boundaries. Background or expertise in PCIe, NAND and DDR (e.g. DDR4/DDR5) is a significant advantage. Key Responsibilities: Define ASIC architecture and IP for next-generation SSD controllers. Drive HW/FW partitioning and lead architectural decision‑making across multiple product lines. Collaborate across multiple product lines to gather requirements and define architecture. Work closely with design, verification, system, FW, and validation teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation. Lead complex architectural activities involving multiple high‑speed interfaces, memory subsystems, and performance‑sensitive data paths. Analyze SSD performance, latency paths, power constraints, and system bottlenecks. Evaluate end‑to‑end development from high‑level modeling through synthesis, backend, timing analysis, and power optimization. Stay up to date with evolving storage interfaces, industry standards, and architectural trends. Leading RMA and support related activities Qualifications BSc. in Computer Science or Computer / Electrical Engineering At least 10 years of experience in ASIC architecture Proven track record of defining and delivering complex semiconductor architectures Deep understanding of SoC architecture, memory subsystems, and high‑performance data paths. Background and/or expertise in PCIe, NAND and DDR (DDR4/DDR5) is a strong plus. Proven track record of driving architecture convergence in complex semiconductor designs. Proficiency in ASIC design tools, simulation methodologies, and hardware description languages (HDLs). Solid understanding of power management techniques and low-power design principles for SSDs. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance optimization. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
