Overview Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) – School-Based Full-Time | In-Person Schedule: 7.5 hours/day | 37.5 hours/weekPay Rate: $40–$43/hour Position Overview: We are seeking a certified Sign Language Interpreter to provide in-person interpretation services in a school-based setting. Responsibilities Provide accurate American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for students in classroom and school-related activities Facilitate effective communication between students, educators, and peers Support student participation in academic and social settings Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional interpreting standards Collaborate with educators and school staff to support student needs Complete required documentation in accordance with school and district guidelines Qualifications Certification: Must be a certified Sign Language Interpreter as of January 2026 Experience: School-based or educational interpreting experience preferred Communication Skills: Strong receptive and expressive ASL skills with professional judgment Professionalism: Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow ethical interpreting practices Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive hand and arm movements throughout the school day
