Description

A Southland Holdings company, Johnson Bros., is currently accepting resumes for an experienced Asphalt/Roadway Foreman for our large heavy civil projects. Must have experience with operating skid steers /rollers / paving machines/broom sweeper and loaders! Responsibilities- Provide overall leadership and direct the activities of field crew employees. Work with field employees to increase productivity Review projects to focus on equipment and manpower; review job costs and equipment utilization reports. Plan and review projects with Project Managers, Estimators and Superintendents. Check equipment to monitor for repairs, utilization, abuse or neglect. Participate in safety-related training programs to increase skill set and knowledge base. Perform jobsite quality control checks. Ensure quality assurance on all phases of work relating to spreading, rolling, compacting and patching asphalt to form surfaces of highways, streets, parking lots, driveways, etc. Monitor all job site operations for compliance with contract requirements for noise and dust control, non-interruption of Government activities, and utility shutdown procedures. Actively promote a safety conscious culture. Follow all safety regulations. Mentor all new hires on crew. Education/Experience: High School education required. 2 + years’ experience as a Foreman. Prior roadway, civil, paving construction experience. Prior heavy equipment operator experience Certifications: OSHA Safety Course Certification (30 hour) CPR Certification Full-Time Employee Benefits: *Competitive pay, Health/Dental/Vision/Life & 401K company match.
