We are currently seeking an experienced Asphalt Plant Supervisor based at our Cragmill Quarry in Northumberland.
In the role, you will be responsible for supporting the Quarry Manager with the safe and efficient management and operation of the Plant.
You will support managing production, troubleshooting technical problems and overseeing planning and coordination with other departments. Awareness of the time critical nature of the process and downstream activities is advantageous.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERTISE
Safety will comprise a key element of the role, you might also be required to conduct risk assessments and health and safety inspections and to demonstrate leadership in safety.
An important element of the role will involve administrative duties, from writing reports and updating records to procurement and budget control.
An ability to plan and organise work in a time efficient fashion is critical.
The ideal candidate will have background in asphalt industry, with a strong focus on safety and interpersonal skills.
The successful candidate will have a flexible, proactive and versatile approach to work. You will have an energetic “hands on” approach and the ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level.
This position is ideal for a highly motivated person with experience of plant operations.
