Your Mission as an Asphalt Raker As an Asphalt Rake Worker, your mission is to ensure a smooth, even, and well-finished asphalt surface by expertly spreading and leveling hot mix asphalt. Working closely with the paving team, your role is essential in achieving the precise thickness and quality finish required before compaction, setting the standard for lasting roadwork. You Will Be Handling These Duties and Responsibilities as an Asphalt Raker Spread, level, and smooth hot asphalt using asphalt lute rakes and hand rakes. Distribute asphalt from the paving machine to required areas with precision and accuracy. Ensure the correct thickness and surface finish before compaction. Assist in preparing the job site, cleaning tools, and maintaining a tidy work area. Operate basic hand tools including shovels, brooms, and other general equipment. Work collaboratively with the paving crew to maintain pace and quality of asphalt laying. Follow all job site safety rules and work safely in high-temperature and fast-paced environments. Qualifications and Skills That Will Allow You to Thrive as an Asphalt Raker Minimum age: 25 years. Middle school education required. At least 5 years of proven experience in asphalt labor, particularly with raking and finishing. Skilled in handling asphalt lute rakes and other finishing tools. Good physical condition with the ability to work long hours in heat and demanding conditions. Strong teamwork and communication skills. A detail-oriented approach to achieving clean, level surfaces. Committed to maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Additional Information Job Type: Full-time, on-site across various Roads & Bridges projects. Location: Libya.
