ASPHALT ROLLER OPERATOR

Head Inc. – Project: Sheppard AFB, Wichita Falls, TX
Head Inc. is a general contractor that specializes in concrete and asphalt paving on airfields. Since its inception, we have been involved in public works projects. Our work experience includes projects for the Department of Energy, the Navy, the Corps of Engineers and various municipalities as well as private industry.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Previous experience operating asphalt paving equipment (pavers, rollers, skid steers, etc.)
· Knowledge of asphalt paving techniques, compaction, and material properties
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent teamwork and communication skills
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
· Must be able to pass a background check to gain access to military bases

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL ROLE:

This role is responsible for operating a roller but has knowledge in other paving equipment, including pavers, and skid steers, to lay, smooth, and compact asphalt surfaces

RESPONSIBILITIES

· This role is responsible for operating paving equipment, including, rollers, shuttle buggy and skid steers, to lay, smooth, and compact asphalt surfaces
· The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work
· Operate asphalt paving machines and related equipment to apply asphalt
· Perform routine maintenance and inspections on paving equipment
· Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment or materials to ensure quality results
· Follow all safety procedures and company policies to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations

· Assist with job site preparation and clean-up as needed

  • You will be expected to work flexible hours, including day or night shifts and weekends
  • Cleaning mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Assisting with other responsibilities for job completion as requested
  • Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Manual of Safety Practices and Procedures.

License/Certification:

  • Driver’s License (Required)
