Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ASPIRING CHILDREN’S PSYCHOLOGIST:

  • Deliver targeted interventions to pupils with SEND or SEMH needs
  • Work 1:1 and in small groups, supporting emotional and academic progress
  • Apply behaviour strategies with confidence and consistency
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress
  • Be proactive and flexible in adapting to classroom and pupil needs
  • Lead sessions that boost social, emotional, and academic development
  • Collaborate with teaching and support staff across a large school setting
  • Maintain a focus on outcomes, progress, and following the curriculum
