Summary: Our Precision Components division is looking for an Assembler to assemble aircraft component parts following operation sheets & blueprints using a variety of small hand tools and machinery. Essential Functions: * Assemble complex aerospace components. * Inspect and verify quality of work when complete. * Using micrometers and calipers to verify work performed is conforming to BP tolerance * Files and buff part to fit. * Drill, tap, ream, countersink parts using a Bridgeport. * Positions and aligns parts. * Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together. * Disassemble and replace parts as required. * Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies. * Lift pieces and positions and secures it on a machine table or in holding fixtures. * Assist other assemblers and employees as required to meet production and safety requirements. * Performs daily 6S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) activities in work area * Perform other related duties or responsibilities as required. Required Qualifications & Experience: * Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data * High School Degree or G.E.D * 1+ years of experience in assembly preferably in a Aerospace Manufacturing environment Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level * Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization * Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions * Must have strong attention to detail * Ability to travel domestically – 10% max Physical Demands / Work Capacity Evaluation The essential functions of this position may vary based on specific assignments, work locations, and operational needs.
