Eaton’s ES GEIS BLD division is currently seeking a Assembler - 1st Shift at our Reno, NV facility! The core hours are 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be manadatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $19.82 per hour. May use bolts, screws, clips, and other fastening devices. Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams. Pick, pack and pull orders in an efficient and accurate manner. Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise. Keeps work areas clean and safe. Supports all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: o Maintain 5-S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) throughout shop floor and office areas. o Track and sustain all visual management tools such as, but not limited to: layered audits, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) boards, and any additional LEAN tools that are deemed necessary to provide direction, goals and status to the shop floor. o Encourage, support, and actively participate in Kaizen improvements and events throughout the facility, department, and area of responsibility. Other various duties and responsibilities as may be assigned. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Reno, NV will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Require fine manipulation of hands with repetitive motion. Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure. Physical Demands: Able to stand on feet continuously during working shift. Able to regularly lift 35 pounds without assistance. Occasionally lift more than 35 lbs. with assistance. Exposure to high noise level (ear protection may be required in some areas). Exposure to high traffic areas with forklift activity.
