The Assembler is a key position in the Company and will support and contribute to the Company goals of profitability, return on investment, inventory turnover, and accident prevention. This position assembles multiple types of high-quality Bush Hog products.  Must learn and become familiar with four of the five types of assembly lines (may include Single Spindle, Finish Mower, Multi-Spindle, Flex-Wing or Zero Turn Lines).  Ensure that products are assembled properly and meet Bush Hog standards.  Works under immediate supervision and must work closely with others in order to successfully finish work orders in a timely manner.  Operate hoist, dollies, and pallet jacks on order to move product and parts throughout the assembly line.   Core Competencies for this position include: * Learning * People Relations * Communication * Position/Tech Knowledge * Results Driven   Essential Functions of the Job: * Focus, communicate, encourage and contribute to Safety in all aspects of the job and all company meetings * Assemble/subassembly parts for the Bush Hog production line * Operate essential tools that are needed for assembly * Communicate with other departments as needed to guarantee availability of required subassembly parts * Ensure correct products and quantities are kept in stock at all times * Meet production needs of general assembly * Ensure quality control in all built subassembly parts * All other duties as assigned by Supervisor   Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA’s): * Knowledge and ability to read assembly sales orders and build to order specification * Capable of performing standard measurements using geometric tools (Tape Measure) * Basic math and reading skills needed * Minimum dexterity required for use of hand and power tools * Ability to operate under pressure * Ability to lift, push or pull 50 pounds alone and up to 100 pounds with assistance * Required standing and/or walking for full shift required * Frequent bending, stooping and lifting required * Must be able to speak, hear and see to perform duties to communicate and build subassemblies * Ability to assemble on one or more lines . Education and Experience: * High School diploma or GED required * 1+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment required
