Description

JOB TITLE: ASSEMBLER

This position is responsible for assembling, testing, and packaging valve assemblies to meet required specifications. The role involves working within a mechanical assembly environment.
Shift time: 6:00am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay rate: $20.00 to start, increase after probation

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two or more years experience in a mechanical assembly environment.
  • Crane training is an asset.
  • Knowledge of general assembly and testing processes.
  • Ability to read blueprints/drawings and follow engineering instructions.
  • Proficiency in using general assembly tools such as impact guns, torque wrenches, etc.
  • Experience using measuring equipment, including vernier calipers.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Assembly experience with pipe fittings is an asset.

Responsibilities
  • Select components required for assembly.
  • Assemble components according to specifications and engineering instructions.
  • Perform testing of assembled valves and maintain accurate records.
  • Package assembled valves for shipping.
  • Maintain good housekeeping.
  • Report damages or malfunctions to the department supervisor.
  • Use appropriate safety equipment at all times.
  • Adhere to company policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
