Description
Summary On-time assembly of components and finished products according to all applicable specifications and requirements per prints, bill-of-material, work instructions, etc. Conduct testing of products according to test specifications.   Essential Functions * Prepare work to be accomplished by gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials. * Perform a preliminary visual, quality inspection of items to detect obvious defects. * Produce components by assembling parts and subassemblies by hand per specification.  * Monitor inventory and advise lead/supervisor when reorder is necessary. * Build simple assemblies with little to no supervision (ex: spray gun, tank, and/or agitator). * Read and decipher schematics, drawings, and work instructions or MIPs. * Position or align components and parts, either manually or with hoists. * Use hand tools or machines to assemble parts. * Conduct quality control checks. * Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements. * Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies. * Disassemble equipment for shipping and ensure disassembled components are properly marked for reassembly in the field, if applicable. * Document actions by completing production and quality forms. * Test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. * Maintain and improve 5S standards in the cell. * Comply with company policies, ISO standards, and applicable laws and legislation. * Work towards SQDC target metrics. * Pack items as required. * Perform other duties as assigned. (U.S. Only)  Qualifications * High School diploma or GED. * Ability to spatially visualize how parts, components, and sub-assemblies come together resulting in the quality assembly. * Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide and use these skills to solve problems. * Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions, complete forms with accurate information. * Must be able to properly identify, count, and maintain required inventory. * Must be able to work as a cooperative and contributing member of the Team.   * Must be able to read and understand schematics, drawings, and work instructions or MIPs. * Must be able to use hand and power tools to accomplish required assemblies. * Must be able to use various gauges and measuring devices; and have ability to identify non-conforming parts.
