Description Department: West Assembly Summary: Accurately assemble quality products according to engineer’s print’s directions and shop order’s requests. Follows policies and procedures put in place as well as any modifications while always being aware to preserving the product’s integrity and quality. Primary Duties: To assemble according to print directions To have safe work habits and to follow safety procedures Able to find, print and understand shop orders, customer orders and engineers drawings Conscientious of following procedures Good record keeping skills and able to keep an accurate count on product To mentor and train other employees Able to read and use measuring tools accurately Able to use a hoist or crane and know the correct procedures to operate it To complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis To work as a team and be self motivated to work independently To actively be looking for new and improved ways to do things Meet reasonable production goals Work with customers to solve problems Trouble-shoot hydraulic and electrical problems on Demco products Position descriptions are intended to define in general terms the most significant duties of a particular position and are not all inclusive of all duties or responsibilities of individual positions.
