Job Summary The Assembler is responsible for assembling skid systems that include pumps, agitators, piping, and valves. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical assembly, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings and specifications. Education/ Experience High School Diploma required, advanced degree or comparable relevant on the job experience and/or certifications preferred. 1-3 years of prior welding and/ or assembler experience preferred. Supervisor Production Manager, unless otherwise designated. Typical Job Duties and Responsibilities Assemble Skid Systems: Build and install components such as pumps, agitators, piping, and valves onto skid platforms, following detailed specifications. Interpret Blueprints: Read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions to ensure accurate assembly of components. Piping and Valves Installation: Measure, cut, and fit piping and install valves as required, ensuring proper alignment and connections. Mechanical Fastening: Use appropriate tools to securely fasten and mount pumps, agitators, and other mechanical components. Quality Control: Inspect assembled skids to ensure all components are installed correctly and meet quality standards. Troubleshooting: Identify and correct issues during assembly to ensure proper operation of the final product. Maintain Tools and Equipment: Keep tools and workspaces clean and organized, ensuring safe and efficient work practices. Preferred experience operating small equipment (e.g., skid steer, forklift) Preferred experience working with pumps, agitators, conveyors, loaders, and filter presses is preferred. Abide by all policies and procedures established by DISA. Attend and participate in all required safety trainings. Assist with any task required by the direct supervisor. Required Skills Ability to work on equipment such as pumps, small equipment and piping (strong mechanical aptitude) Be reliable to showing up to work on time and regularly Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude and safely operate, maintain, or troubleshoot industrial equipment. Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage multiple projects effectively. Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing. Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects. Collaborate effectively as part of a team, supporting shared goals and fostering positive relationships. Must be able to interact with people and technology while either standing or sitting.
