Explore life at Fortune Brands here Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES Assemble more complex fenestration products, which includes both standard and custom folding glass walls, sliding glass doors, terrace doors, windows, and more Utilize high quality glazing techniques and help to teach newer associates proper glazing techniques Manufacture high quality panels in a safe manner, which meets or exceeds specific efficiency, productivity, and quality goals Visually check parts and/or glass for scratches, dings, and dents prior to assembly Proactively communicate when your jobs are ahead or behind schedule Provide feedback, as needed, to help the team standardize details and assembly drawings Follow all necessary procedures for glass handling, including proper operation of the overhead crane when needed Handle and lift all material carefully, both manually and by overhead crane, to minimize scratches to material surrounding job carts Notify the Lead team member/Supervisor of any issues encountered (missing subcomponents, damaged material, etc.) Provide suggestions for continuous improvement within the department Maintain a clean and safe environment Other duties as assigned Qualifications BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: 3 Years of experience with carpentry, product assembly, construction, and/or related education (ex. trade school or technical courses) Experience reading shop drawings Ability to meet and maintain certification requirements to operate overhead cranes Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs on a frequent basis Ability to complete basic mathematical calculations Ability to read a tape measure PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of related Window and/or Door Assembly experience and be capable of assembling various fenestration products consistently in accordance with quality standards and production metrics.
