Description
Perform simple repetitive bench assembly of parts and components Use bolts, screws, hand tools, clips and other fastening devices Work under close supervision and may work from models, samples, or simple diagrams Handle 50-pound parts to assist with large part construction Remove excess weld, slag, spatter, and rough spots from workpieces using grinders, brushes or scrapers. Support all facility Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives including, but not limited to: Troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise Handle materials that pertain to large part construction, weighing 50 pounds multiple times per day Work environment exposes to oils, lubricants, and solvents. No relocation is available for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Reno, NV facility will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Previous experience with manufacturing fabrication. Demonstrated welding ability / knowledge - A welding demonstration is preferred Set-up and troubleshoot welding equipment. Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpiece to ensure conformance. Ability to weld aluminum and steel. Ability to read blueprints and shop orders. Responsible for safety, quality, production quotas, and all documentation associated with product movement and confirmations. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format in English.
