Description
The Assembler III is responsible for a wide range of skills including assembling, fitting and mounting subassemblies, components, and standard fixed assemblies in electrical control equipment. Perform assembly required for testing preparation and final inspection. Perform all assignments within the acceptable quantity and perfect quality requirements in keeping within assigned functions. In this function, you will: Perform the assigned function from oral and/or written instructions and engineering drawings. Use various tools, such as an impact gun, sidewinder, and drill to perform the assembly of switchboards. Handle materials by following established procedures. Maintain expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicate problem areas or parts shortages. Observe good housekeeping and safety procedures and keep equipment, tools, and work area clean and orderly by performing 5-S duties and continued dedication to raising the bar. Lift 20 lbs. with reasonable accommodation as required. Ability to be a team player and work independently with a sense of urgency No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation 1 year of internal switchboard manufacturing experience OR 2 Assembler II certifications EPEX Position Success Criteria: Self-driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction. Strong verbal and written communication, persuasion, and analytical problem-solving skills. Work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment. Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs. Proficient with computers and programs including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and SharePoint. Must work somewhat independently and make decisions that affect the workgroup. Focus efforts on attaining assigned goals and objectives, which include meeting the needs and expectations of internal and external customers.
