Description
Assembler Lead   Position Summary The Assembler Lead, in addition to working in the cell, will provide production process training and cross-training to team members. Will serve as backup to the Team Lead when needed. The role requires the above to be accomplished within Tecomet’s principles of continuous improvement, customer driven innovation and a win first culture, while meeting company financial and other performance metrics.  Principle Responsibilities * Provide motivational leadership and direction to all team members to achieve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost goals while embracing teamwork. * Communicate effectively with Team members, other Assembly Specialists, Group Leaders and Production Assistants to facilitate production goals across production lines. * Will work in the cell as required. * Assist with line setup, line clearance, product traceability and that machinery and equipment are properly maintained. * Observe that the work cell is properly setup to the current walk path. * Assist in providing instruction and training to new Team Members with the proper cleanroom processes, lean processes, production of devices, and operation of equipment. * Support cross-training of production team members to allow for flexibility to support unexpected changes in customer demand. * Be the “go-to” person for problems on the line   Qualification Requirements Credentials/Experience: * High School diploma or equivalent.   * 6+ years of manufacturing experienceas Assembler III   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Familiar with manufacturing operations * Team player and flexible to move from one task to another * Basic math and computer skills required. * Active listening skills – ability to teach others * Good organizational and communication skills * Read, write clearly, and follow written procedures. * Ability to work independently and exercise judgment   Other Requirements Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
