Job Title: Assembler Line 1 Department: Assembly Classification: Non-Exempt Reports To: Assembly Supervisor Revision Date: June 2023 Job Description: The Assembler is responsible for assembling parts onto the boat according to the order specifications, utilizing correct tools and methods to ensure proper installation and meet quality standards. Duties and Responsibilities: Assemble the boat's hull and deck components. Follow a sequential process while completing tasks such as carpet installation, transom hardware, bilge equipment, ballast tanks, deck wiring, deck hardware, stereo, and helm assemblies. Adhere to pre-determined roll times on the assembly line. Utilize a variety of hand tools, including tape measures, razor knives, screw guns, drills, and ratchets. Collaborate with the team to complete daily tasks. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area. Inspect all parts to ensure completion and adherence to quality standards. Comply with all OSHA and safety procedures. Follow instructions provided by the Manager, Supervisor, or Lead. Perform any additional duties assigned by management. Skills and Abilities for Success in this Position: Exhibit strong attention to detail. Comprehend written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents. Detect potential issues or errors before they occur. Communicate information and ideas clearly for others to understand. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Physical and Work Requirements: Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with varying ambient air temperatures. Flexibility to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods. Capability to climb in and out of the interior of boats. Willingness to wear necessary safety equipment as required. Competence in using and maintaining small hand tools, such as grinders, scrapers, razor knives, and blowers. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary. Ability to perceive small details at close range.
