Description
Ensure assemblies are built to written instructions or blueprint specifications and completed to scheduled delivery dates. Perform lock wire or safety wire processes Perform visual inspection, identify any defective items and handle according to established procedures. May be reassigned to cover workload in other areas of production as necessary. Minimum of two (2) years of mechanical assembly experience or manufacturing experience with testing. Must have a High School Diploma/GED from an accredited institution. No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Grand Rapids, MI will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Two (2) years Assembler/tester of electro-mechanical actuators. 1+ year of experience with electronic components - including installation/soldering of components on circuit boards IPC Certified (J-STD0001,7711,A610) Position Criteria Proficient interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, testing schematics, verbal, and/or written instructions. Know-how and ability to work with inspection gages, multi-meters, volt meters, force scales, torque wrenches, and test equipment and procedures. Knowledge of fundamental electrical components and mechanical physics. Ability to identify wire by color code. Ability to read, understand and follow product specifications, drawings, and work orders in English. Prior experience preferred in IPC certification J-STD001, 7711, A610. Ability to cross-train on a variety of hardware/sub-assemblies and test procedures and assist in training others. Ability to navigate various computer systems.
