Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Supervisor is the front-line Supervisor responsible for designated teams of assembly fitters encouraging team spirit, supervising, and working to workshop schedules and production targets, communicating concerns and problems to the Assembly Manager, while maintaining disciplines in procedures, safety, good housekeeping and general conduct.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of the production process through assembly areas.
  • Ensure timely production of assemblies and achieve output levels in line with the master schedule.
  • Set daily/weekly targets in all work areas after weekly meeting with Production Control department.
  • Monitor performance regularly against these targets and implement corrective actions to achieve the plan, display daily targets.
  • Management of the workforce with the Team Leaders to achieve production targets and maximise productivity.
  • Manage holidays, sickness, absence and complete back to work, Bradford Factor and Time & Attendance interviews where necessary.
  • Support investigation processes (H&S and HR) as and when required.
  • Ensure high levels of housekeeping are maintained in all areas of the site.
  • Ensure risk assessments are kept fully up to date for all production activities.
  • Trouble shoot to find the root cause and implement countermeasures for all product quality, process issues, warranty, and customer complaints.
  • Recruitment, training and succession planning of all production workers.
  • Hold weekly toolbox meetings with all team members.
  • Work on improvements in production to reduce build related warranty costs.
  • Mentor Team Leaders and Apprentices.
  • Willingly carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the company.
