Job Purpose The Assembly Vacation Support is responsible for supporting a specific Zone on an assembly line which produces both domestic and foreign products. Timely delivery of quality products enables North Carolina Manufacturing and other Honda factories to produce quality products for our customers. Key Accountabilities Have knowledge and competency of all processes in assigned zone to quickly fill any position for various reasons (Absenteeism/Paid Time Off/Emergency Relief). Support completion of daily check sheets for Safety, Equipment, and Quality to ensure timely delivery of products to the customer. React quickly to make adjustments that impact aspects of Safety, Quality, and/or Delivery of product to the customer. Confirm daily production plan and communicate with production associates to ensure production targets are achieved. Confirm and arrange work area during model changeover to ensure downtime is minimized and product is built correctly. Confirm production areas are complying to the cleanliness and safety standards of North Carolina Manufacturing. Qualifications, Experience, & Skill Minimum Educational Qualifications High School Diploma/General Education Diploma equivalent Minimum Experience 3 months manufacturing related experience Other job specific skills Skill leading a small group of associates Thorough understanding of Assembly concepts and processes Critical thinking and problem-solving skill Working Condition Majority of time spent is in production environment 10 hours overtime per week is possible Occasional weekend work What differentiates Honda and make us an employer of choice?
