Description Days & Hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:00pm. Telework Eligible: No Location: Onsite 1731 Gault Street, St. Peter, MN 56082 Travel Required: No Duties/Responsibilities: Perform bench-type processes to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies, using hand tools and electronic and pneumatic tooling. Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documentation, then builds to those specifications. Maintain logs, records, and reports concerning production, machine maintenance, and product inconsistencies. Maintain equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs when needed. Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; contracts materials handler if supplies are needed. Periodically check products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves and identified problems and alerts production manager. Report defective materials or questionable conditions to production manager. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules under minimal supervision. Perform all other related duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records. Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics. Detail-oriented and consistent. Works well as a productive member of a team. Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment. Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing. Education and Experience: High school diploma/GED or equivalent. 2-year technical degree with hydraulic system knowledge preferred. 2+ years manufacturing experience. Background in diesel mechanics is a plus. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, work measurement, quality assurance, shop routings, blueprints, and math. Physical Requirements: Stand for prolonged periods and perform repetitive tasks. Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Utilize manual dexterity in order to assemble products or machines as directed. Use excellent hand-eye coordination. Use specific vision abilities such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Communicate effectively. Differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components. Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and OSHA approved steel toed boots.
