Job Summary: The Assembly Manager is responsible for the full execution of equipment assembly, installation, and field service operations for the Motion Division. This role owns production output, quality, schedule adherence, and team performance. The Assembly Manager leads Electro-Mechanical Leads and Technicians, ensuring builds are completed safely, on time, and to MVP quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances tactical execution with operational management and accountability. Job Responsibilities: Production & Assembly Ownership Own all Motion equipment assembly from engineering release through shipment Develop and manage weekly and monthly build schedules Ensure adherence to drawings, electrical schematics, and quality standards Partner with Project Management to meet committed ship dates Drive daily production cadence and eliminate bottlenecks Installation & Commissioning Leadership Oversee field installation and commissioning of Motion systems Assign and schedule installation teams Ensure proper startup, validation, and customer sign-off Serve as escalation point for field issues Service & Aftermarket Execution Lead field service and warranty response Ensure rapid resolution of customer issues Monitor recurring issues and drive root cause correction with Engineering Develop service standards and documentation Team Leadership & Development Supervise Electro-Mechanical Leads and Technicians Set daily and weekly performance expectations Conduct performance reviews and coaching conversations Build bench strength and cross-training across mechanical and electrical functions Drive accountability, safety, and quality culture Operational & Financial Discipline Monitor labor hours vs. project budgets Identify schedule risks early and escalate to VP Motion and Senior PM Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure material availability Maintain clean production reporting metrics Implement lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years in equipment assembly, automation, or industrial machinery 3+ years managing production or assembly teams Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting capability Experience with PLC-controlled systems preferred Experience leading field installations Strong organizational and communication skills Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, bending, and working around industrial equipment Ability to travel up to 30–40% for installations Magnum Venus Products, Inc. is committed to compliance with its obligations under all applicable state and federal laws prohibiting employment discrimination.
