Description SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for performing under limited supervision in the assembly of ground support equipment. This position will also be providing instructional lead to assembly workers pertaining to the assembly of dashes in towing tractors by performing the following duties. Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs Diagnoses, rebuilds and repairs vehicles and equipment Performs inspections and preventive maintenance of vehicles and equipment Prepares and maintains records and reports Use current methods, materials, tools and techniques for vehicle repair and maintenance Knowledge of Paint and body work Knowledge of mechanical design and fabrication, electrical systems including computerized induction/ignition systems Use of power and hand tools, diagnostic equipment as available Follow written and verbal instructions, including manufacturers’ service specifications Ability to communication effectively verbally and in writing Follow safety practices and procedures Perform other duties as required Requirements POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (The minimal acceptable level of education, experience, and certifications necessary for employment). High School Diploma or GED Prior knowledge and understanding of common automotive/mechanical concepts Ability to diagnose problems and make repairs Ability to read blueprints and diagrams Ability and willingness to cross-train and work in multiple roles Prepare and maintain records and reports PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT (The physical attributes employees must have in order to perform job duties; unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation. Responsibilities

Responsible for assembling ground support equipment and providing instructional leadership to workers assembling towing tractor dashes. Duties include diagnosing mechanical problems, performing repairs, and maintaining detailed records of vehicle maintenance.
