Responsibilities

The Assembly Operative is responsible for assembling components for a variety of products. The goal is to ensure the effective and efficient build of products and the on-time delivery of quality items to customers, adhering to company processes, standards, and operating procedures.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and other manufacturing instructions to assemble products according to design specifications.
  • Identify and pick the correct parts required
  • Assembly of components and products to drawing and quality specifications outlined in the job pack
  • Utilise a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to perform assembly tasks, such as drilling, riveting, and fastening components together.
  • Inspect and test components and finished products to ensure that they meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report any defects or issues with components or products and work with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve them
  • Meet daily and weekly targets and report progress daily to your line manager
  • Carry out work with a focus on high quality output
  • Consistently keep work areas organised, clean, and conducive to productive operations.
  • Any other reasonable management request.
