Description
The Assembly Operator is responsible for the precise mechanical and electronic assembly of world-class gas detection instruments. Based at our newly established Saudi facility in Dammam, this role is critical to the "Made in Saudi" initiative, ensuring that life-saving equipment is built to the highest quality and safety standards. This position reports to the Production Supervisor and works within a team environment focused on continuous improvement and lean manufacturing. Key Responsibilities * Precision Assembly: Perform manual assembly of gas detector units (such as the T40II and Radius BZ1) by following detailed technical drawings and standard operating procedures (SOPs). * Component Integration: Install sensors, circuit boards, batteries, and outer casings using hand tools and calibrated equipment. * Quality Testing: Conduct initial functional tests and visual inspections to ensure each unit meets stringent global safety certifications before moving to the final calibration stage. * Lean Manufacturing: Participate in the Fortive Business System (FBS) daily management processes, including "Kaizen" events to improve efficiency and reduce waste on the production line. * Safety & Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace (5S) and strictly adhere to all safety protocols to prevent workplace hazards. * Documentation: Record production data and serial numbers accurately in the manufacturing execution system to ensure full traceability of every device. Required Qualifications * Education: High School Diploma or a Technical Diploma in Electronics, Mechanics, or a related field. * Experience: This is an entry-level position; however, previous experience in a manufacturing or workshop environment is a plus. * Skills:   * Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small electronic components. * Basic understanding of technical manuals and assembly diagrams. * Fluency in Arabic; basic English proficiency is preferred for reading technical instructions. * Attributes: High attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to maintaining the quality of products that protect lives in hazardous environments.
