Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Process Development Project Lead to oversee and coordinate cross-functional process development activities within our organization. This role is critical to ensuring that manufacturing processes are designed, developed, and delivered in alignment with project goals, customer requirements, and internal standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exercise functional authority over members of process development-relevant departments dedicated to the project.
  • Delegate and steer interdisciplinary work packages across all relevant departments, with approval rights.
  • Access and utilize project-relevant data including simulation results, cost data, and lessons learned.
  • Monitor and report on work package status and intermediate results across departments.
  • Request and manage process development infrastructure such as test facilities, tryout presses, and prototype workshops.
  • Propose and influence make-or-buy decisions related to tooling, equipment, and prototypes.
  • Hold veto rights in cases of technical feasibility concerns (e.g., formability, cycle time).
  • Issue and transmit product-related remarks to departments such as product development and sales.
  • Engage directly with suppliers and customers on process development topics (e.g., equipment reviews, logistics planning).
  • Ensure timely task completion in line with budget, quality, and schedule goals.
  • Continuously coordinate process development activities with overall project management objectives.
  • Guarantee delivery of capable process designs and pre-series parts that meet customer and internal requirements.
  • Oversee specification, development, and manufacturing of tooling and equipment aligned with process design.
  • Synchronize with logistics and rack development to ensure seamless plant operations.
