Description OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for an Assembly Set Up I who will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and configuration of assembly lines, workstations, and equipment to ensure efficient production operations. This entry-level role involves setting up basic tools and fixtures, following work instructions, and supporting production teams by ensuring smooth equipment transitions. The Assembly Set Up I works closely with operators, technicians, and maintenance personnel to uphold quality and safety standards. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist in setting up workstations, tools, and fixtures according to production specifications Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to configure basic assembly equipment Ensure proper alignment and positioning of components for efficient production flow Support the installation and adjustment of jigs, fixtures, and small tools as required for assembly Perform basic equipment checks to ensure functionality before production starts Report any setup issues or missing materials to the supervisor Work alongside machine operators and assemblers to verify proper setup and operation Assist in minor equipment adjustments under supervision Help maintain organized and clean workstations for efficient workflow Ensure assembly setup meets company quality standards and specifications Conduct visual inspections to confirm correct configurations and report defects Follow all safety regulations and participate in safety training as required Identify and communicate setup inefficiencies or potential improvements to supervisors Participate in on-the-job training to develop skills in equipment setup and troubleshooting Maintain accurate records of setups and adjustments made during shifts Requirements PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment is preferred Basic understanding of hand tools, assembly processes, and mechanical operations Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Team player with good communication and collaboration skill Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if needed EDUCATION High School Diploma LOCATION Onsite SCHEDULE M-F PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear.
