SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Apprentice-trained or experienced in mechanical fitting
• Experience within a supervisory / team leader role
• Confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings
• Skilled in using hand/power tools and various measuring equipment
• Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

12 WEEK TEMPORARY - PERMANENT ROLE

Metalis are currently supporting a well established company in Chesterfield who are looking for an Assembly Team Leader to join the team for the Temporary on going prodject.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong mechanical background, has previous experience supervising / managing a team and has hands on experience in mechanical fitting, fabrication, or general engineering.
The role is split 50/50 between Team Leading and Fitting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Overseeing a team of 14 workers
• Carrying out teams meetings
• Fitting components and structures to engineering drawings and specifications
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments accurately
• Ensure proper alignment, fit, and finish of all Fitted parts
• Support fabrication and build processes as required
• Perform quality checks to ensure assemblies meet required standards
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, following all health & safety procedures
