Description
Description Constructs custom assemblies and fabricates value-added assembly items as needed by customers and for stock. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Fabricate and construct custom stock assemblies by performing the following: plasma cutting, welding, soldering, grinding, painting, electrical wiring, fabricating hose and tubing to various sizes, using general hand and power tools, as well as performing various diagnostic and trouble-shooting practices. Interact and take direction from the Assembly Division Coordinator and management team for scheduling and prioritizing assembly projects and methods to use in completing tasks. Use calculators and charts to determine appropriate components to be used in some assemblies. Document new and changed custom assemblies through the use of digital cameras, computers, scanners, faxes, and electronic drawings in conjunction with applications engineering. Testing completed units to the prescribed standards as required and specified by customers. Requirements Skills/Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Mechanical Aptitude a plus. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to complete reports and logs. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates. Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
