We are seeking to hire an experienced Assembly Technician to complement our expanding global business in this FMCG sector based at our Barlborough site. If you are enthusiastic, focussed and ambitious with the desire to develop in a thriving business then this could be the role for you.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Electrical/Mechanical experience advantageous
Pneumatic maintenance experience
Analytical & Basic Computer Skills
Ability to read diagrams, technical drawings & manuals
Ability to fault find to component level
Ability to understand production planning to ensure production flow
Be able to handle boxes of components and pallets up to 10kg in weight and in line with HSE guide lines on manual handling
Experience of “5 why’s”

Responsibilities

OUR PURPOSE

KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operation of Assembly machines producing spray caps
Perform quality control according to cycle of control to ensure products conform to customer specifications
Perform technical cleaning of equipment
Repair/refurb components that are used in the machines
Using the challenge checks to test for any Quality errors or faults
Responsible for the upkeep of tools/tool boxes in ensuring having all of the tools at hand all of the time
Responsible for the upkeep of the Production workshop in both using and cleaning
Preventative/Reactive maintenance of automated assembly lines
Support the business with Holiday/absence cover
Be fully trained on the E80 and AutoWare warehousing software and system which includes the LGV’s and Pick and place so once trained can solely restart any part of the process
Maintain high standards of H&S practices and adhere to housekeeping measures
To build a good communication and team ethic across the shifts and functions
Responsible for overseeing and supporting Operators in the mould and assembly production area.
Able to assist our external software support by having good communication skills to resolve issues/concerns with the assembly machines
Actively looking to improve on Productivity and share this drive with other shifts
Testing and hands on development (Kaizen improvement system)
Train others i.e. with core basics
Any other reasonable request made by a Director, Manager or Shift Leader of the organisation
