JOB OVERVIEW

CryptoTherm, a leader in the manufacturing of cooling and heat transfer systems, is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Assembly Technician to join our growing production team.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for assembling various components—such as dry coolers and louvers—according to technical drawings and work instructions. You’ll work closely with other technicians and supervisors to ensure each unit meets our quality, safety, and performance standards.
The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical aptitude, experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, and takes pride in producing high-quality, reliable products.

SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2–4 years of experience in a mechanical assembly, manufacturing, or fabrication role
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and assembly instructions
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
  • Reliable, punctual, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of HVAC, mechanical systems, or heat transfer assemblies is an asset
  • Basic computer skills for completing digital forms or inventory tracking
  • Leadership skills is considered an asset
Responsibilities

Assembly Execution:

  • Assemble mechanical components and sub-assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and designs
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to ensure precise and consistent builds

Quality & Accuracy:

  • Inspect your own work for accuracy and conformance to specifications
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and suggest improvements when appropriate

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with fellow departments and supervisors to meet weekly production targets
  • Assist team members with lifting, alignment, or troubleshooting tasks as needed

Safety & Housekeeping:

  • Follow all workplace safety policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Accurately complete checklists, work orders, and assembly documentation
  • Communicate part shortages, equipment issues, or workflow concerns to the Assembly Completion Supervisor
