Assembly Technician will be responsible for accurately assembling and testing detection equipment in a timely manner, with the highest quality, and in accordance with ISC policies and procedures. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assemble and test gas detection equipment which may include components, sub-assemblies, instruments, docking stations and communication gateways. Achieve performance expectations in meeting defined quality and production metrics including first pass yield (FPY) and product cycle time. Actively engages with team during visual daily management and fulfillment team meetings to drive improvement on critical KPIs (key performance indicators). Actively participates in continuous improvement initiatives (kaizen). Willingness to cross train and flex as business demand dictates. Conducts daily/monthly quality and standardization (5S) audits; documents findings and debriefs area POC ensuring a clean, safe, and functional work areas Recognize quality issues and proactively communicates when issues encountered. Able to use ISC systems as needed in their respective areas. Ability to work with a diverse team and personalities while supporting efforts to achieve team goals, and customer needs. Demonstrates ability to adhere to assigned work schedule. Approaches any change with a positive attitude, and fosters our continuous improvement culture QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED (Non-Negotiable): Ability to recognize and escalate problems. Ability to work efficiently either independently or as a member of a team while maintaining highest quality with some supervision Must have basic computer and typing skills, such as but not limited to (Word, Excel, Time applications). Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization to include training of new technicians. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining highest quality Ability to perform rework. Ability to regularly perform fine finger/hand movements Meticulous attention to detail, ability to inspect and identify non-conformities. Established commitment to providing the best customer service, every transaction, every time QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED (Negotiable): Two-year associate degree in electronics or equivalent experience Manufacturing work environment experience Personal Gas Detection knowledge/experience PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Note: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
