PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Fit-up/assemble all piping spools Perform hydro testing Perform pneumatic testing Assemble vessel internals Install/trial-fit external accessories Prepare equipment for shipping Cut and prep pipe/structural components Load/unload equipment for transport Ability to read drawings & P&IDs Knowledgeable of valves, instruments, ftgs Ability to lead others and plan ahead Knowledgeable of quality requirements Ability to make correct decisions Speed of accomplishing tasks Proper, professional housecleaning Ability to work safely Reliable and punctual attendance and a positive and cooperative attitude Requirements Excellent pipe and structural assembly proficiency in pressure piping and process vessel manufacturing is required. A strong mechanical and piping aptitude and previous experience in a similar role, are required. A high school or vocational school diploma or equivalent is required. A working knowledge of shop processes, materials, shop equipment and assembly tools is strongly preferred but not required. Higher vocational welding background is preferred but not required. Experience with ASME/ANSI Piping Codes is preferred but not required. Experience in an ISO 9000 environment is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
The Assembly Technician will fit-up and assemble piping spools, perform hydro and pneumatic testing, and prepare equipment for shipping. This role requires the ability to read drawings and P&IDs, as well as knowledge of valves and instruments.
