Description GasTech Engineering, LLC is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our Manufacturing team. This role is essential in ensuring our process equipment units are assembled to the highest quality standards and delivered to clients on schedule. The Assembly Technician is responsible for mechanical assembly, pressure testing, and installation of piping, vessels, and structural components used in process equipment units. This role requires close attention to engineering documentation, adherence to GasTech Quality Requirements, and the ability to work efficiently within production schedules. You’ll play a key role in upholding GasTech’s reputation as a highly respected manufacturer in the industry. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Fit-up and assemble piping spools and structural components Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing Assemble internal vessel components Install and trial-fit external accessories and equipment Prepare completed units for shipping Cut and prep pipe and structural materials Load and unload equipment for transport Read and interpret engineering drawings, including P&IDs Work safely while maintaining a clean, professional workspace Maintain reliable attendance and a positive, cooperative attitude Requirements High school diploma or GED Strong mechanical and piping aptitude Proficiency in pipe and structural assembly Ability to read and understand drawings and P&IDs Understanding of valves, fittings, and instrumentation Knowledge of quality requirements and shop processes Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to stay organized and manage time in a fast-paced environment Vocational welding background preferred Experience with ASME/ANSI Piping Codes is a plus
