Description
Mission of the Role The mission of this role is to facilitate the daily workflow of a group within the Manufacturing Solutions (mechanical assembly) area of Hartfiel Automation. The Lead Assembly Technician will oversee a group of Assembly Technicians and assist with planning and executing mechanical assembly at our Eden Prairie office. Education/Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six months to one year basic mechanical assembly experience required. Degree in Electrical, Fluid Power, Automation, or Robotics is preferred. Key Accountabilities * Sets daily and weekly assembly tasks for self and other group members. Familiarity with managing build times and priority preferred. * Assembles product per Hartfiel Automation job folders, which may include, but not limited to, control panel assembly, valve stacking, fitting installation, reading and pulling orders, labeling product, and testing product.  * Performs final test of finished assemblies. * Participates in continual process improvement, the safe use of basic shop tools and equipment, and keeping work area clean and orderly. * Provides leadership and guidance to team members and manages project timelines. * Follows all quality processes and procedures as established by Hartfiel Automation. * Responsible for the safe use of basic shop tools and equipment.  Responsible to keep work area clean and orderly. * Operates within the intended framework of Hartfiel Automation’s mission, values, and vision statements. * Must be able to sit or stand and lift up to 40 pounds infrequently. * Must be able to operate hand tools and have complex levels of manual dexterity. * Delegates work orders, trains and develops new hires, and is responsible for the output of their group.
