The General Assembly Technician will be responsible for the assembly of the body and all truck components. HSA and/or FSA Paid Time Off and Company Paid Holidays Employee Car Discount Program ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare work to be accomplished by studying work order, bill of materials and blueprints. Position and secure components per print locations. Fit and secure components using hand and power tools. Verify specifications by measuring completed components. Document actions by completing production and quality forms. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Maintain and wear all required personal protective safety equipment. Other duties as assigned. Requirements WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES: Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time. Manual dexterity, fine manipulation and the ability to reach with hands and arms and lift up to 75 lbs. Must be able to operate simple to complex and heavy-duty machinery. Normal range of hearing and vision. Able to lift 50 lbs regularly. REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: High School Diploma or GED. Prior experience working with basic hydraulic and electrical systems is preferred. Previous experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment is a plus. Hands-on experience working with tools, equipment, or machinery and the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues is desired. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and work orders. Must be able to proficiently read a tape measure. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Detail oriented. Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening. #STE
