Job Description Summary The Assembly & Test EHS Leader is accountable for shaping and executing the EHS strategy for all Assembly & Test shops. The leader provides functional oversight to the EHS function within the Part Family while also ensuring all GE Aerospace EHS policies and practices are followed and continuously improved. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Provides oversight for EHS function within the Assembly & Test Part Family Provides indirect leadership and mentorship to the EHS function inside the Assembly & Test Part Family Partner across Assembly & Test to characterize and predict hazards, understand and fortify layers of safety and validate defenses to drive a zero incident culture Accountable for EHS daily management across the shops. Facilitate Problem Solving, Action Planning and Kaizen Events to shore up and/or continuously improve Operational Safety and EHS performance across all sites Drive rigid Management of Change (MOC) rigor on system-altering processes prior to implementation across all sites Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Utilizes understanding of industry trends to inform decision making process. Partner with all site leaders to drive adherence to GE Aerospace processes, policies and standards as well as government laws, regulations and standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or institution A minimum of 5 years in EHS Leadership from a Manufacturing/Production environment Desired Characteristics Master’s Degree from an accredited college or institution A minimum of 10 years in EHS Leadership from a Manufacturing/Production environment Strong familiarity with EHS risks associated with machining processes Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Experienced leading in a highly matrixed environment Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills Effective oral and written communication skills Strong process mindset and analytical capability Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills Exposure to Lean tools, methods and terminology Humble: respectful, receptive, agile, eager to learn Transparent: shares critical information, speaks with candor, contributes constructively Focused: quick learner, strategically prioritizes work, committed Leadership ability: strong communicator, decision-maker, collaborative Problem solver: analytical-minded, challenges existing processes, critical thinker The base pay range for this position is $146,800 - 195,600. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 25th, 2025.
