JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assessment Delivery Manager who will be accountable for the provision of service excellence for all assessment and awarding processes for a variety of regulated and non-regulated assessed programmes through collaborative working with internal and external subject matter experts, ensuring the principles of assessment excellence; validity; authenticity; reliability; inclusivity; objectivity and fairness are maintained at all times.
The role holder must be able to motivate and influence others to achieve cost-effective results across CIPS UK and International departments and offices. They are expected to analyse and assess problems and identify and be accountable for alternate solutions and approaches as the situation dictates as they contribute to overall organisational efficiency and success.
A skilled communicator, team player and innovator, the Assessment Delivery Manager must adopt a professional approach at all times as they will be expected to engage with external stakeholders, many of whom will be operating in high profile senior strategic business roles.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading, developing and supporting the assessment team to fulfil the assessment requirements of all assessed programmes, regulated or non-regulated on time, on budget ensuring standards are maintained at times
  • Accountable for the delivery of service excellence and maintaining the integrity of the CIPS brand at all times:
  • End Point Assessment (EPA) of Procurement and Supply Apprenticeships
  • Management entry route (MER) to membership (MCIPS)
  • Pathways to Membership (GCO, CPSM and Academic)
  • Fellowship (FCIPS)
  • Responsible and accountable for managing the standardisation, marking, moderation of regulated and non-regulated assessed programmes in accordance with regulatory and professional development standards
  • Responsible for managing the performance of all external consultants engaged in the marking and moderation process.
  • Working in partnership with the Assessment Development Manager, responsible for analysing assessment performance, identifying exceptions and addressing or escalating them, and reporting for regulatory audit
  • Responsible for ensuring there are sufficient markers to undertake marking activities each series, setting and monitoring marker milestones and taking remedial action as required.
  • Provide all stakeholders (e.g. AMC, operations team, assessment team and other suppliers) with data and information required to deliver assessment activities
  • Responsible for identifying and raising NCR(non-conformance reports) as needed to the Regulation and Audit Manager this includes suspected malpractice
  • Responsible for evidencing standardisation, moderation, marker checker processes, etc. have been achieved, addressing or escalating exceptions as appropriate and reporting for regulatory audit
  • Responsible for reporting assessment results data for regulatory audit to provide both current and historic information; analysing data to identify exceptions, investigating and addressing or escalating them, in accordance with procedures
  • Responsible and accountable for analysing assessment appeal trends, investigating exceptions and addressing or escalating them in accordance with procedures and reporting for regulatory audit
  • Responsible and accountable for appointing and training new assessment team members to ensure there is sufficient capacity and capability to meet demand
  • Training and developing assessment team members according to the requirements of their role(s) and regulatory conditions, measuring and managing assessment team performance ensuring assessment team members and other suppliers understand activities, requirements, timescales and the broader environment in which they operate.
  • Responsible for monitoring and managing assessment budgets
  • Demonstrate and promote supportive and effective team working within and between teams across the CIPS UK and the Regional Offices and promote a culture of openness and transparency.
