SCMI1 has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill a vacant Assessment Director (AD) role. The candidate will function in accordance with the equivalent responsibilities of an Engineering Technician V to provide critical technical assistance to Navy Regional Maintenance Center Project Managers to include: Receiving CNO Availability Work Packages from TYCOM and SURFMEPP Ensuring assessment visibility for MTs Resource coordination between MTs and Tech. Codes Scheduling T/A 3 MTRs IAW CNRMC Instructions Attendance of IPTD planning meetings Reporting assessment statuses to respective RMC PMs Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include: Project Management and Reporting CNO Maintenance Availability Certification Support TSRA AD Functions TSRA Visit Support Team Oversight Training and Qualifications Management Security Clearance Requirements: • Must possess, or have the ability to obtain, and maintain an active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance. Qualifications and Educational Requirements: Associate Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other related field 7 to 10 years of shipboard HM&E experience Demonstrated proficiency with naval engineering key performance tracking metrics, technical writing, and system validation procedures. Ability to execute physical shipboard surveys or technical documentation audits in accordance with assigned division protocols. Ability to read and interpret technical documentation pertaining to critical shipboard assessments Ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders MS Office suite proficiency required Have completed, or ability to complete, local RMC Job Certification Requirements training within two years of hire.
