"Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement." Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * 1 year recognized postgraduate experience in community MHAS Education * Recognized degree in Nursing, Social Work, or Addiction Counselling Competencies * Conflict resolution skills * Cultural competency   * Interpersonal skills * Problem solving skills * Communication skills Knowledge and Abilities * Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies * Able to work independently in a self motivated manner & respond under pressure * Knowledge in various intervention strategies for individuals and groups * Ability to identify, implement & evaluate areas of client difficulty * Exp. in mental health & addictions community outreach & crisis interventions * Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems * Ability to prepare reports in a clear, concise and timely manner. * Ability to work in a multidisciplinary setting. * Knowledge and practical application of the Mental Health Services Act and Health Information Protection Act and other legislation * Public relation skills with the ability to maintain effective work relationships * Ability to provide public presentation and professional training. * Knowledge in various mental health and addiction and harm reduction strategies * Knowledge of Recovery Philosophy * Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook) Other Information * For more information on the city of Regina please visit https://www.regina.ca/ * Current license with the applicable professional organization * Must possess a valid driver's license and have a vehicle available for work. * Can work flexible hours; ability to work shifts based on operational needs. * Scheduled hours of work may be reduced during the rotation stipulated when a statutory holiday is recognized during that period.
