We are looking for passionate and engaged individuals who have the ability to meet the following essential requirements:

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent (minimum)
• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse
• Evidence of holding the appropriate qualifications to assess Vocational Education and Training. See the candidate support document (here) for details
• Three years post-qualification experience in the Nursing sector (minimum), gained no longer than five years ago
• Demonstrated ability to assess students against competency-based skills tasks
• Understanding of the content of learning materials and the processes used in the discipline, and a commitment to maintain professional currency.
• Commitment and ability to provide feedback in an adult learning environment + motivate and encourage students

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated individual with relevant qualifications and experience in the nursing sector to join our team. Permanent part-time position available in our Newcastle TAFE campus.
TAFE Assessors carry out independent assessments and grading for students, with a focus on supporting students to complete tasks, as well as identifying areas for further training. Assessors work within a team of industry professionals in an engaging environment. Successful candidates in this role will be required to support students whilst on clinical placement, with the ability to work across a number of healthcare facilities across Newcastle.
Note: This role does not teach or deliver training.
