    Join a dynamic and growing mining services business where your accounting expertise will drive real results. We’re looking for a motivated Asset Accountant to take ownership of our fixed asset processes and support critical financial reporting from our Sunshine Coast head office. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting and Tax, you’ll work closely with operational teams across Australia to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our asset data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including acquisitions, disposals, transfers, and WIP
  • Prepare month-end reports, asset reconciliations, and depreciation schedules
  • Liaise with site teams to track and validate asset movements and commissioning
  • Support audit requirements and provide insightful analysis to senior stakeholders
  • Champion continuous improvement across asset and financial processes

What We’re Looking For

We’re after more than just technical skills — we’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds strong relationships, and brings a proactive mindset to solving problems. You’ll also bring:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in an accounting role, with exposure to fixed assets
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Commerce or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets
  • A sharp eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a collaborative approach
  • Experience in mining, construction, or other asset-intensive industries (highly regarded)
