You’re ready to be the steward across a portfolio of work to enable outcomes.You'll make a tangible impact on the people of NSW, using your finance and accounting skills to help build a sustainable and thriving transport network for generations to come.   In this role, you'll: You’ll be working as part of the Group Finance Branch, playing an important role in Financial Accounting and Control.You’ll oversee enterprise‑wide asset accounting, valuation and reporting programs — ensuring everything from revaluations to capitalisation practices is accurate, compliant and aligned to NSW Treasury and accounting standards. You’ll lead major asset revaluation programs, partner with valuers, auditors and project teams, and bring strong judgement to complex accounting matters.You’ll guide policy implementation, strengthen asset data quality and governance, and support statutory reporting by overseeing asset‑related components across the business. You’ll drive improvements in systems, processes and capability, helping teams understand and apply consistent, best‑practice asset accounting.This position is a permanent position. Your home base will be at Macquarie Park with Hybrid work arrangements. For more information on this position and business unit,  view the role description and information pack.   About you You bring senior‑level experience in asset accounting, with a strong track record leading valuation and revaluation work across complex portfolios. You’re confident operating in SAP and enterprise asset management environments, and you understand how to apply NSW Treasury policies in a way that strengthens governance and supports sound financial decisions. You’re quick to spot risks, steady under pressure, and known for your ability to translate technical detail into clear, practical advice for executives, project teams and finance leaders. You work strategically, influence effectively, and bring the level of judgement expected of a senior specialist in this space.Essential requirements: Valuation experience,  Bachelor qualification in Accounting, Business, Economics or Commerce (or equivalent), extensive relevant experience, and full membership of a recognised professional accounting body.   Who we are Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
