He whakamārama mō te tūranga mahi | About the role Watercare is looking for an experienced Asset Controller to help manage and optimise wastewater maintenance programmes that keep Auckland’s essential infrastructure running safely and reliably. This role supports the operation and performance of some of the largest and most critical wastewater assets in New Zealand, making it ideal for someone who enjoys balancing hands-on technical insight with planning, improvement, and stakeholder engagement. In this role you will: Plan, manage and optimise wastewater transmission asset maintenance programmes Improve asset reliability and performance while managing risk and cost Manage external maintenance contractors and service contracts Analyse asset condition and performance data to support decision-making Identify and lead continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you You are a practical, outcomes-focused professional who enjoys working across teams and taking ownership of maintenance outcomes. You will bring: A relevant tertiary technical qualification or trade qualification Experience in maintenance planning, asset or operational environments Contract management and stakeholder relationship experience Strong written and verbal communication skills A strong commitment to comply with Health and Safety standards.
