Description
We’re looking for an Asset Engineer – Electrical to support the lifecycle management and planned maintenance of critical electrical assets across the Transurban Northern Assets portfolio. This role is key to ensuring asset availability, reliability and risk management within a live infrastructure environment.   Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will provide electrical engineering expertise across maintenance planning, shutdown readiness and asset strategy development. You’ll work closely with asset, maintenance and operational teams to deliver safe, compliant and optimised asset outcomes.   Key responsibilities   * Support lifecycle management of electrical assets including SCADA, ITS, lighting, power, communications and control systems * Manage planned maintenance programs and schedules within the CMMS (Maximo/MAS)  * Forecast planned maintenance and support annual and long‑term maintenance planning  * Provide technical input into maintenance shutdown planning and readiness activities  * Maintain and update asset registers, hierarchies, job plans and preventative maintenance tasks  * Review asset condition data and defect outputs, recommending rectification strategies  * Support asset condition monitoring, reliability analysis and continuous improvement initiatives   What you’ll bring   * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory) * 3+ years’ experience in infrastructure, facilities or maintenance environments (tunnels experience desirable) * Experience using Maximo / MAS (7.6 or 9) or similar CMMS platforms * Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and risk‑based prioritisation * Experience with maintenance shutdown planning and forecasting * Confident communication skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders * Asset management qualifications (CAMA2, CPAM) * Familiarity with ISO 55001 * Experience with Power BI, Excel and data visualisation tools   Downer is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
