UGL Transport Infrastructure and Assets are looking for a passionate & enthusiastic Asset Engineer to join our team.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Tertiary Engineering qualifications within the Electrical or Mechanical disciplines with experience within the transport Rail or Roads sector
- Experience in a large engineering or maintenance project environment
- In-depth specialised knowledge of concepts, processes, and activities
- Strong computer skills including the Microsoft Office 365 suite of programs

Responsibilities:
JOB PURPOSE
To achieve optimum production and cost outcomes through the management of direct labour and subcontractors in a healthy and safe work environment.
Deliver additional maintenance projects to time, cost, and quality and compliance requirements.
The role demands a strong focus on leadership to achieve required outcomes of the work group and the promotion of high-performance standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure subcontractors are managed in an effective and responsive manner to achieve project objectives
- Develop and deliver against a project plan
- Ensure comprehensive records are established and maintained to assist decision making
- Ensure project standards and quality are achieved
- Plan, scope and deliver Routine Preventative Maintenance and Additional Work tasks
- Carry out reviews of reports provided by subcontractors and develop proposals for repair and rectification of defects identified
- Carry out quality reviews of AMIS for work orders that are duplicated, assigned to incorrect folders and work with Maintenance Supervisors to consolidate individual orders into larger single scopes for repair
